Pine Ridge Vineyards- Napa, CA

I absolutely love wine and for anyone that knows me, they know I love Napa. I started going to Napa as a disgruntled kid being handed Caprisun or given grape juice while my family wine tasted. Obviously, my experiences now are starkly different. I’ve been to 27 different wineries in Napa so far but the Stag’s Leap district has definitely been my favorite. It has amazing and rich Cabernet Sauvignons.

A month ago, I was looking for a new wine membership to join and so many people recommended Pine Ride Vineyards, so I really wanted to visit. I went with a couple of friends and because we went towards the end of the day on Sunday, we got to taste in the members only room. The winery was absolutely gorgeous and has so many beautiful wine caves. The person helping us really went out of his way to make sure we all enjoyed the tasting. Most places gives you a list and that’s basically all you will taste. However, this tasting almost felt like a custom tasting.

Every single wine we tried was amazing, from the Oakville Cab, to the Howell Mountain (yumm), and of course, their flagship wine, the Fortis. My husband and I decided to become members of this winery and we recently had a chance to do their wine tasting and cave tour.

We got wine as we ventured through the property and got to do a barrel tasting. Towards the end of the walking portion of the tour, we walked up to the most beautiful table and room that was set up with all of the wine glasses and specially paired cheese. Oh my god, was that cheese delicious and so well thought out to perfectly compliment the wine. On top of this 90 minute tour and tasting, when we came back to the tasting room, we got poured even more wine. Safe to say, there really wasn’t a shortage of wine.

I don’t go out of my way to recommend wineries but hands down, if you haven’t been already, GO, GO, GO to Pine Ridge. You will not be disappointed.

Take a look at the photos of my cave tour and tasting experience and check out their website for more details!

  1. Hello Voilaasammy, If you don’t mind me asking, who was your “ person” helping you? If you remember the name. My brother works there and I think sometimes they need a recognition too ☺️ even if it’s from their family only. Thanks in advance, Lucy

    1. Totally agree, I think they always need recognition, especially because they make the experience what it is! I believe her name was Terry (I wasn’t 100% sure, that’s the only reason I didn’t include it in the post), she was a wealth of knowledge.
